Great Plains Area Bishop Scott Jones and the Nebraska Conference Personnel Committee announced that Rev. Carol Roettmer Brewer will have the additional designation of assistant to the bishop for Nebraska.
Rev. Gary Beach has been serving as assistant to the bishop for Kansas. Brewer has been functioning in a similar capacity for Nebraska’s former bishop, Ann Sherer-Simpson.
“I look forward to serving as the Assistant to the Bishop for Nebraska,” said Brewer. “It is both a challenging and gratifying ministry, as we move ahead in the process of becoming the Great Plains Annual Conference.”
Brewer will also continue to serve as the director of Connectional Ministries and staff leader for the Nebraska Conference.
