Voluntary Term Life and AD&D insurance
This insurance is available for clergy members and laity staff of the conference and local churches who work a minimum of 30 hours per week.  Originally presented by Mutual of Omaha in October, 2011, the policy includes:

  • If you are currently covered, you may increase your benefit by $10,000 with no requirement to satisfy Evidence of Insurability.
  • If you did not select this life insurance option last year and desire coverage now, OR if you are currently covered and want to increase your benefit by more than $10,000, then you need to enroll for Evidence of Insurability.
  • The Guarantee Issue amounts are $100,000 for employees and $50,000 for spouses.  If you desire amounts greater than this for any reason, then you must complete the Evidence of Insurability form.  The Evidence of Insurability form is separate and is to be submitted to Mutual of Omaha directly. 
  • This policy has a Portability feature if you leave employment.  A separate form is available for for this purpose.
  • This policy has a Conversion feature if you leave employment.  A separate form is available for for this purpose.

Kansas East Conference new employees may add the life insurance benefit when they begin working for the conference or local churches.

     Employee + Spouse - $5.00
     Employee + Child(ren) - $5.26
     Employee + Family - $7.90
