Kansas Action for Children
When children do not have a healthy start all of us pay for the consequences. To mature into productive citizens, it is more difficult for children who are abused, receive inadequate medical care, live in poverty, and are not prepared for school.
Young children are not marketplace consumers, they do not vote, and they are unorganized. They are not in a position to ensure that their needs are met. Children require "advocates" -- parents, grandparents, businesspersons, employers, teachers, and others who are willing to organize and speak up for their needs.
The mission of Kansas Action for Children is to act as a change agent of policies and systems to ensure that the needs and rights of children in the state of Kansas are met.
