The United Methodist Campus Ministry (UMCM
The Emporia UMCM is a welcoming place for all members of the University community to explore their faith, regardless of denomination. The UMCM has been involved with ESU for 60 years. Located at the corner of 13th and Merchant, their Center is a place to study, cook, watch TV or take a break from a roommate. The UMCM offers students the opportunity to make life-long friends and develop a deeper relationship with God.
Weekly Outreach
On Monday evenings, the UMCM Center offers students a free meal called Soul Café. Following that meal, they have "Faith Stories,” where students connect the Bible to their own lives. Lunch Bunch takes place every Wednesday and is a time for first-year, ESU students to gather for lunch and a short devotion. On Thursdays, the UMCM offers a worship service called "Relevant” at the chapel.
