Strategic Ministry Plans

How can we strengthen our existing congregations?

The Kansas Area Revitalization Task Force and the Small Membership Church Task Force have been working on this question. The two groups have formulated a strategic plan addressing both the concerns of small-membership congregations and the leadership development of all full-time clergy and charges in the conferences.

L3 Leadership Incubator 

The Kansas East and West conferences are participating in a leadership program called the Leadership Incubator. This program will provide sustainable, peer-group-based, mission-driven, leadership development programs in 212 congregations across the state. Incubator creates an environment where spiritual leaders and ideas are born, nurtured, and developed by using cutting-edge technology and prayerful dialogue.

How can we start more and stronger new congregations?

The Kansas East Conference's Congregational Growth and Development Committee has been working on the plan for starting new churches. Through the process, they've consulted with the Hispanic Ministry Task Force and the Kansas West Congregational Growth and Development Committee.

How can we strengthen our student ministries?

Student ministries encompasses camping, campus ministry and youth ministry. Three strategic plans for these areas have been developed by the groups that oversee these ministries in the Kansas East Conference and the Kansas Area.
