Assistance Available to Farms in Crisis
The Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services (KAMS) coordinates farmer-creditor mediation for the Kansas agricultural community. Mediation is a confidential and voluntary process that helps parties to resolve credit disputes by mutual agreement.
KAMS toll-free hotline, 1- 800- 321-FARM (3276), gives the agricultural producers and their creditors’ immediate, confidential, and free access to a professional staff for referrals to various services, including: mediation services, financial counseling and legal assistance. Mediation may be requested by either the producer or a creditor. For more information about KAMS, visit their website.
