Camp Chippewa, located in the middle of a former Indian reservation, is a United Methodist camp and retreat center. The mission for the center is to provide an atmosphere in a simple outdoor setting where individuals—children, youth and adults—can experience the presence of God through retreats and camping experiences.

Children's Camping Ministries
Throughout June and July, Chippewa offers eight children's camping programs, with more than 40 sessions, targeted at ages 5 through grade 12 and one for the developmentally challenged for ages 12 through adult. Chippewa’s summer camping programs aim to help children of all ages and denominations find strength in their faith through outdoor activities like hiking and horseback riding, as well as spiritual growth activities like bible study and daily devotions.
Adult Retreat Ministries
Chippewa can provide overnight accommodations for group retreats or events as well as provide meal service and special activities such as trail rides, archery, low ropes and wagon rides, providing the weather cooperates. The overnight fee includes use of the outdoor chapel, hiking, fishing and use of the volleyball, kickball and basketball areas.
The outback-camping area at Coldsmith Lodge is open after the summer season for tent camping until the first weekend of October. There are four heated cabins for winter use.
The facility also is available for day-use events, such as outdoor education, meetings, leadership planning or just an opportunity to get a group out of town for the day. Some summer dates are available but are limited due to the summer program schedule.
